How to Change Your Account Name on ELLIPAL Titan 2.0 and X Card?

Learn how to change your account name on ELLIPAL Titan 2.0 and X Card. Renaming an account is a display change only — your assets, wallet address, and seed phrase are never affected.

An account name is a custom label for your wallet — it helps you identify and manage multiple accounts. Changing it does not affect your assets, wallet address, or transaction history, and is not required for wallet recovery.

Before You Start

What is an account name?

An account name is a display label you assign to a wallet. It helps you:

  • Identify different accounts at a glance

  • Manage multiple wallets more easily

  • Separate personal, trading, or long-term holding accounts

The account name has no effect on your assets, wallet address, private key, or seed phrase. It is not needed to recover your wallet.

How to Change Your Account Name

On Titan 2.0, after renaming the account on the device, you need to reconnect to the ELLIPAL App for the new name to appear.

  1. Tap the account name at the top of the home screen to open the account list

  2. Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) next to the account you want to rename

  3. Tap Account name, enter the new name, then tap Save

  4. On the Titan 2.0 home screen, tap the Connect to App icon in the top right corner — the QR code appears on the device screen

  5. Open the ELLIPAL App, tap Scan, and scan the QR code — the new account name appears in the app

How to Confirm It Worked

After completing the steps above, the new account name appears in the account list in the ELLIPAL App. If you are using Titan 2.0 and the old name still shows, make sure you have scanned the Connect to App QR code after saving the new name on the device.

FAQ

Will changing my account name affect my assets or wallet address?

No. The account name is a display label only. Changing it does not affect your assets, wallet address, private key, or seed phrase in any way.

Do I need the account name to recover my wallet?

No. Wallet recovery only requires your seed phrase. If you used a passphrase, you will also need the correct passphrase. The account name is not required.

Why does the old account name still show in the app after I renamed it on my Titan 2.0?

On Titan 2.0, you need to reconnect the device to the ELLIPAL App after changing the account name. On the device home screen, tap the Connect to App icon in the top right corner, then scan the QR code with the ELLIPAL App to sync the updated name.

Can I give two accounts the same name?

No. Each account must have a unique name. The device will not allow you to save a name that is already used by another account.
