How to Rent TRON Energy When Sending USDT on ELLIPAL?

How to reduce USDT (TRC20) transfer fees using TRON energy rental in the ELLIPAL App. Covers Save mode signing steps for ELLIPAL Titan 2.0 and ELLIPAL X Card.

When you send USDT (TRC20) in the ELLIPAL App, you can reduce the transaction fee by selecting the Save option, which uses your TRX to rent energy from a third-party provider instead of burning TRX directly. Here is how to do it step by step.

Before You Start

  • USDT (TRC20) balance in your ELLIPAL wallet

  • At least 10–20 TRX to cover the energy rental fee

  • ELLIPAL App (iOS or Android)

  • ELLIPAL Titan 2.0 or X Card

Steps

  1. In the ELLIPAL App, select your USDT(TRX) balance, tap Send, enter the recipient address and amount

  2. Tap Suggested > next to the estimated network fee to open the Network Fee screen

  3. Tap Save. The fee drops immediately

  4. Read both confirmation boxes carefully, then check them and tap Confirm

  5. Review the details for Sign 1 and tap I understand. You have 6 minutes to complete Sign 1

  6. On your Titan 2.0, scan the Unsigned Data QR code shown on your phone. Review the transaction details on the device screen, then confirm to generate a Signed Data QR code

  7. Use your phone to scan the Signed Data QR code on your Titan 2.0. Sign 1 is complete

  8. Review the details for Sign 2 and tap I understand. You have 8 minutes to complete Sign 2

  9. Repeat the same process: Titan 2.0 scans the Unsigned Data QR code on your phone, review and sign on the device to generate a Signed Data QR code, then use your phone to scan it

  10. Tap Complete on the "Transaction submitted" screen

  5. Review the details for the signing and tap I understand

  6. Tap Next. An 8-minute countdown starts immediately; complete the signing before it reaches zero

  7. Enter your Card-PIN and tap Submit

  8. Hold your X Card to the NFC area on the back of your phone and keep it steady until signing completes

  9. Tap Complete on the "Transaction submitted" screen

How to Confirm It Worked

After tapping Complete, the app shows "Transaction submitted," which means the transaction has been broadcast. Your USDT balance updates once the transaction is confirmed on-chain, usually within a minute.

FAQ

Why does Titan 2.0 require two signings while X Card only requires one?

Both devices process two transactions: the energy rental and the USDT transfer. The X Card combines the two signings into a single NFC tap, so you only interact with the card once. On Titan 2.0, the QR code flow requires each transaction to be signed separately.

What happens if I exit the app after completing Sign 1?

The rented energy remains valid for 10 minutes. Return to the USDT transfer screen within that window and initiate the transfer again. Since the energy rental is already complete, only one signing is required to send the USDT.

What happens if I don't complete the signing within the time limit?

The rented energy expires and the TRX paid for the rental is not refunded. Your USDT is not affected and stays in your wallet. You can start the process again, but you will need to pay the rental fee a second time.
