# How to Verify Your Seed Phrase on ELLIPAL Titan 2.0?

This guide shows you how to use the Verify Seed Phrase feature on your ELLIPAL Titan 2.0 to confirm that your written backup matches the wallet on your device. The check happens entirely on the device — nothing is sent online.

***

### Before You Start

* ELLIPAL Titan 2.0, powered on and unlocked
* Your physical seed phrase backup (the paper or card you wrote on during setup)
* 5 minutes in a private space where no one can see your screen

### How to Verify Your Seed Phrase

<figure><img src="/files/gurDr8MXY2ZTJeiNNVXv" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

1. Tap your **account name** at the top of the home screen to open the account list
2. Tap the **three-dot menu** (⋯) next to the account you want to verify to open its settings
3. Tap **Verify Seed Phrase**
4. Enter each word of your seed phrase in the correct order, then tap **Verify**
5. The device displays **Verification successful** — tap **Close** to finish

If verification fails, check the word order and spelling on your backup card, then try again. Do not reset your device until you have confirmed the correct seed phrase.

> **Important:** Only enter your seed phrase directly on your Titan 2.0. Never type it into the ELLIPAL App, any website, or any other device. This feature does not change or reset your wallet.

### How to Confirm It Worked

After tapping Verify, the Titan 2.0 displays a green checkmark and the message **Verification successful**. This confirms your written backup is accurate and matches your wallet. Store your backup card in a secure offline location — you will need it if your device is ever lost or reset.

### FAQ

<details>

<summary><strong>What is Verify Seed Phrase used for?</strong></summary>

Verify Seed Phrase confirms that the words you wrote down during setup match the wallet stored on your Titan 2.0. Use it any time you want to make sure your backup is accurate — especially before storing the backup card long-term.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Does verifying my seed phrase change or reset my wallet?</strong></summary>

No. The feature only checks whether the seed phrase you enter matches the wallet on the device. Nothing is created, changed, or deleted.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>What should I do if the seed phrase verification fails?</strong></summary>

Check each word carefully — word order and spelling both matter. If one word looks right but verification still fails, compare your backup against the BIP-39 word list to catch any handwriting errors. Do not reset your device until you have confirmed the correct seed phrase.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Can I verify my seed phrase using the ELLIPAL App?</strong></summary>

No. Your seed phrase is stored offline on your Titan 2.0 and never leaves the device. The ELLIPAL App has no field to enter a seed phrase, and verification can only be performed on the device itself. Never enter your seed phrase on any phone, computer, website, or app — doing so puts your entire wallet at risk.
