# How to Stake Crypto with ELLIPAL?

You can stake cryptocurrency directly in the ELLIPAL App and earn on-chain rewards — no separate staking platform needed. Staking is supported on Titan 2.0 and X Card, with the only difference being the signing method. This guide uses ADA as an example, but the steps are the same for all supported assets.

### How to Stake Crypto

1. Open the ELLIPAL App, tap **Trade**, then tap **Staking**.
2. Select the asset you want to stake (e.g. ADA).
3. Tap **Delegate**, select a staking pool, then tap **Delegate** again.
4. Review the delegation details, tap **Delegate**, then confirm the transaction details.
5. Sign the transaction using your device:
   * **X Card:** Enter your Card-PIN, then hold your X Card near your phone's NFC area.
   * **Titan 2.0:** Scan the QR code with your Titan 2.0 to complete signing.
6. Wait for the transaction to be processed — delegation will be completed on-chain.

Your assets are now staked. Rewards will accrue based on the network rules for each asset.

### ADA Staking Rewards — Timing

The first time you stake ADA, it takes at least 20 days to receive your first reward. Cardano operates in 5-day cycles called epochs:

| Epoch 1 | Days 1–5   | Delegation submitted      |
| Epoch 2 | Days 6–10  | Delegation becomes active |
| Epoch 3 | Days 11–15 | Rewards are calculated    |
| Epoch 4 | Days 16–20 | Rewards are distributed   |

After the first reward, rewards are paid at the end of every epoch. If the staking pool does not generate rewards in a given epoch, distribution may take longer.

The first ADA reward takes at least 20 days due to the epoch mechanism. Delegation must pass through four 5-day epochs before the first reward is distributed. After that, rewards are paid at the end of every epoch.

Recent updates to the ADA staking protocol may have introduced additional requirements that affect your current delegation. To resolve this, re-delegate your ADA to another staking pool — once the new delegation takes effect, rewards can be claimed normally. Any pending rewards will still be distributed in future epochs.
