# How to Stake ETH with ELLIPAL Titan 2.0 and X Card?
You can stake ETH directly in the ELLIPAL App and sign the transaction with your Titan 2.0 or X Card. The minimum staking amount is 0.01 ETH, rewards start accruing the day after your stake is confirmed, and your private keys stay offline in your cold wallet the entire time.

### Before You Start
Make sure you have the following ready:
* ELLIPAL App installed, with your Titan 2.0 or X Card wallet already connected
* At least 0.01 ETH to stake (the minimum amount), plus a small extra ETH balance to cover network fees
* Your Titan 2.0 powered on, or your X Card and its Card-PIN at hand
> **Good to know:** Staking, unstaking, and withdrawing each incur an ETH network fee, so keep some ETH available in your wallet. Your ETH is delegated to an on-chain smart contract managed by Kiln, a staking provider. Always check the contract address shown in the transaction details before signing, and cancel if it does not match.

### How to Stake ETH in the ELLIPAL App
The staking flow starts in the app and ends with your cold wallet signing the transaction. Titan 2.0 signs through two rounds of QR codes; X Card signs with a Card-PIN and an NFC tap.

1. Open the ELLIPAL App and tap **ETH** in your asset list
2. Tap the **Earn APY** banner labeled **Stake ETH and earn daily rewards**
3. On the staking overview page, tap **Staking**
4. Enter the amount you want to stake (0.01 ETH minimum), then tap **Staking**
5. Read the security notice, then tap **Next**
6. Review the transaction details, including the payment amount, delegator, and contract address, then tap **I understand**. The app displays an unsigned QR code
7. On your Titan 2.0, open **Sign** and scan the unsigned QR code shown in the app. The device signs the transaction offline and displays a signed QR code
8. In the app, scan the signed QR code shown on your Titan 2.0 screen
9. Tap **Complete** when the app shows **Transaction submitted**
> **Note:** If your Titan firmware is below v4.14, the signing screen may show "Function: unknown" during ETH staking or unstaking. This is expected and does not affect the transaction. Upgrading to v4.14 or later lets the device display full transaction details.

### How to Confirm It Worked
After the transaction is submitted, return to the Staking page in the app. Your position appears under **My Staking** with the provider, APR, and staked amount, and the status changes to **Earning** once the stake is confirmed on-chain. Rewards begin accruing the day after confirmation, so a zero earnings figure on day one is normal.

Staking puts your ETH to work on the Ethereum network, helping keep it secure while earning rewards in return. Think of it like depositing money in a bank to earn interest, except the rewards come from the network itself rather than a bank.
How are staking rewards calculated?
Rewards begin accruing the day after your staking transaction is confirmed. The APR shown in the app is an estimate that fluctuates with network conditions, so it is not a guaranteed return.
How do I unstake my ETH?
You can request to unstake at any time, and the unstaked ETH stops earning rewards once the request is submitted. Unstaking usually takes about 7 days, though it may take longer during peak periods. When the waiting period ends, your assets become withdrawable, and you need to withdraw them manually in the app to complete the process.
What are the risks and fees of ETH staking?
ETH staking carries certain risks: returns are variable, funds cannot be withdrawn instantly, and on-chain smart contracts carry inherent technical risk. The contracts used have been audited by multiple independent security firms, but please assess your own situation before participating. Fees are taken from rewards only, never from your principal. Keep a small amount of ETH in your wallet to cover gas fees when staking or unstaking.
Why does my Titan show "Function: unknown" when signing?
On Titan firmware below version 4.14, the signing screen may display "Function: unknown" during staking or unstaking. This is expected and does not affect the transaction. Upgrading to version 4.14 or later enables full transaction details on the device, and you should always verify the contract address in the app before confirming.
