# What Should I Do If My ELLIPAL Titan Won't Turn On?

### Fix a device that won't turn on

1. Clean the charging contacts. Wipe the metal contact points on the bottom of the device, since dirt or residue here is the most common cause of a failed charge.
2. Use a 5V power adapter only. Fast chargers can cause charging issues, so avoid them even if they're what you normally use for your phone.
3. Charge the device continuously for at least 24 hours. Devices left unused for a long time often need longer than usual to power back on.
4. Check the indicator light while charging. The adapter should show a green light. If an SD card is inserted, the light should turn blue instead.
5. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to turn the device on.

If the device still doesn't turn on after 24 hours of charging, record a short video of the charging process and send it to <cs@ellipal.com> so the support team can check further.

### FAQ

<details>

Does a device that won't turn on put my assets at risk?

No. Your assets live on the blockchain, not inside the device. As long as you have your seed phrase, you can restore your wallet on another compatible device at any time.

<details>

Can ELLIPAL recover my device or funds for me?

No. ELLIPAL is a self-custody solution, so ELLIPAL cannot access or recover your assets. Only your seed phrase can restore your wallet.
